A Quick Question

We'll have a sidebar, one of these days, and when we do, the content will come from here. Admin-only posting, but you can read it to see what we're up to.

If there were ads in the sidebar, I'd...

buy one, if they're cheap.

ignore them/I have adblock.
click some, if they're interesting.
leave and never come back.

A Quick Question

Postby Gellert Grindelwald » Sat, 2010.03.20 21:58

Keeping this place up and running costs about $3 a month. It's not a lot, but it's more than nothing, and I'd hate to ask it of you guys. Adverts would seem to be a relatively unobtrusive way to correct this leaking-pocket problem.

I'm wondering what sort of objections you guys might have to the idea of adverts at the bottom of the right sidebar. I'm presently looking into Project Wonderful, which is cheap for any advertisers who come our way, and also lets me keep the size of the ads small enough not to disrupt the layout.

There's a poll for your general opinion, on the portal or above this post. If you have more to say on the subject, come leave a reply. (I fixed the permissions on the news forum.)
